Twemoji (emoji graphics)
The standard emoji set rendered throughout the app - in messages, reactions, the emoji picker, and while typing - is Twemoji, originally created by Twitter and now maintained by the Twemoji project - a widely-used set chosen so emoji look consistent and complete regardless of what font your OS or browser happens to ship.

Noto Color Emoji (fallback for newly-added emoji)
A small number of very recently added emoji, not yet covered by our Twemoji snapshot, fall back to Noto Color Emoji, a Google project, sourced from Unicode.org's own emoji chart. Distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and the Apache License 2.0.
GIF search
Our GIF picker is powered by GIPHY. GIF content returned by a search belongs to Giphy and its creators, subject to Giphy's own terms - we don't claim any rights over it.
